Olim Artists Exhibit

Nature and Still Life - Vladimir Cichenko
The Northern Gallery in Haifa presents a Nature and Still Life exhibit this week featuring works from 30 Russian artists who made Aliyah in the past several years. Some of the artists are presenting their work for the first time in Israel. The exhibit will be featured in the gallery until the end of February.

The exhibit curator, Larisa Kartish, describes the exhibit as a retrospective on the concept and genre of Nature and Still Life which has found expression in a variety of styles starting with Realism and Neo-Classicism and continuing with Hyperrealism, Cubism and post-modern creations. The works include oil on canvas, graphics, pastel, pencil, photography and others.

Gramophone - Brook Vladimir

Camomile - Mendosona Ziniada

The Northern Gallery presents art works by Olim, some of who are internationally renowned with works displayed in museums and private collections in countries such as Japan, Canada, USA and Russia. The gallery is a unique project of the Jewish Agency in Haifa that is intended to provide an initial platform for Olim as they begin their lives in Israel.
